In the real world, Atlantis was a land that referred to the genre of literary prose developed in Greece called “Socratic Dialogue” was first preserved by Plato and Xenophon. They describe Atlantis as an island with high technology and mighty naval power that aims to conquer Athens, but Athens has protection from the gods. So, the gods use their power to sink Atlantis away into the dark abyss of the Atlantic Ocean.
However, there are some scholars who dug deeper into Socratic Dialogue and found shreds of evidence that this underwater kingdom might be real.
So, Eveden uses an iconic image of Atlantis as the underwater kingdom for design. That’s why the cards in this Faction come out as the aberration sea creatures and sailors.
